Beautiful appearance is not a special shape of the nose or a slit of the eyes, but a harmonious combination of all features and shapes. The facial expression largely affects the perception of others around our appearance, and in many respects this overall impression depends on the eyes and their framing - eyebrows and eyelashes. Owners of naturally thick eyebrows can follow the fashion and change their shape, giving the look playful, thoughtful or mysterious, but with a short sparse line of hairs, care for the eyebrows is much more complicated. In such cases, it is necessary to correct the natural data with the help of various means and procedures, the leader among which is castor oil for eyelashes and eyebrows.

Why is castor oil recommended for eyebrow and eyelash growth?

Castor oil, which is often referred to as “castor oil”, is a well-known laxative that is produced from castor bean. This evergreen shrub is a poisonous plant, found wild in tropical and subtropical countries.

Due to its decorative, oilseed and medicinal value, castor oil, despite its toxicity, is cultivated in Latin America, Egypt, China, India and Iran.

Casting iron is grown mainly due to seeds that contain about 60% fatty oil. Thanks to cold pressing and post-treatment with hot steam from poisonous seeds, an absolutely harmless thick pale yellow oil is obtained, which contains:

  • Ricinoleic acid (makes up 90% of the total composition), which is characterized by wound healing, antioxidant and bactericidal action. This acid is well absorbed, but since it does not dissolve in water, castorca should not be applied in large quantities during external use (the skin becomes oily).
  • Oleic acid (3%), which is an antioxidant and prevents the deposition of cholesterol in blood vessels. This substance helps to activate lipid metabolism, thanks to which the barrier functions of the skin are restored and moisture is better retained in the skin. In addition, oleic acid helps other active ingredients penetrate into the stratum corneum.
  • Linoleic acid (4%), which maintains and restores the barrier function of the epidermis, improves fat metabolism and does not allow moisture to involuntarily penetrate into the skin or evaporate from it. This acid helps restore dry, dehydrated skin that suffers from nutritional deficiencies, restores local immunity, prevents aging of the skin, and helps balance the skin glands in the hairy parts of the head during seborrhea.
  • Stearic acid (1%) - the main fatty acid of human tissues, which helps to restore the protective properties of the skin. This acid is characterized by good sliding and lubricating qualities, as well as the ability to stabilize and thicken emulsions, therefore it is often used in the manufacture of cosmetics.
  • Palmitic acid (1%), thanks to which the body synthesizes collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid and glycosaminoglycans more actively. Thanks to this acid, the intercellular substance of the dermis is renewed. In addition, it also helps the molecules of beneficial substances overcome the epidermal barrier.

The benefits of castor oil are very diverse - thanks to this composition, the oil has found application both in medicine (treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, etc.) and in cosmetology.

You can smear your hair, eyebrows and eyelashes with castor oil, as it activates the growth of new hairs and strengthens the existing ones well.

What it is?

Castor oil for eyelashes and eyebrows is a grandmother's old recipe. It was also used by herbalists to speed up hair growth. In common people they call him just castor oil, even in the village they know about such a useful tool. Despite such a common origin, makeup artists and cosmetics manufacturers have long paid attention to castor oil. It is made from the plant “castor bean”, which is carefully pressed and processed to a homogeneous liquid. Since it is widespread throughout the world and is not demanding on climate or external conditions, this process is simple and inexpensive.

As a result, a jar of ordinary castorca is very cheap in a pharmacy - the price is about 20 rubles. Much less than fashionable cosmetics that give the same result. In addition, castor oil is quite natural, without chemical impurities and additives, its use is safe. It is also found in medical products, it is added to cosmetics in order to have a caring effect.

By itself, castor oil is a liquid yellow mass, slightly condensed. Almost no smell, so you should not worry that the fragrance is taught by friends or colleagues. It tastes a little bitter, but you are not going to drink it, the result will not be the same.

Virtues

The main reason for acquiring a bubble of castorca is the desire to make eyebrows or cilia thicker, softer and longer. But there are other advantages to this tool:

  • low price for sufficient volume: about 20 rubles for 30 ml,
  • natural ingredients without chemical dyes and additives
  • effects on the skin and the bulbs, from which healthy and strong hairs will later grow - although growth takes time,
  • nourishing and moisturizing the already existing eyebrows and eyelashes, the hairs become more alive,
  • treatment of damaged hair, restoration,
  • disinfection and bactericidal effect.

Together, these advantages show that castor eyebrow oil is an affordable and safe way to grow hair or make it stronger and healthier. You can easily find a photo of how the edge changes gradually under the influence of castorca, the reviews are entirely positive.

disadvantages

Although castorca is not a medical drug, its use is quite active. Therefore, there are some disadvantages to its use. The main one is the possibility of an allergic reaction. Sensitive skin often reacts to natural components such as burdock or castor oil, and individual intolerance is also found. Before use as directed, be sure to test for allergies: apply a few drops on the inside of the elbow. If a rash or redness does not come out in a couple of days, then you need not worry. Also, do not forget to check the contraindications:

  • open wounds or scratches,
  • recent eyebrow sutures
  • individual intolerance.

Eyebrows and eyelashes are very close to the eyes, castor oil, falling on the mucous membrane of the eyeball, can produce a dangerous effect, cause burns or damage. Therefore, in case of an unpleasant incident, immediately rinse the eyes thoroughly with cold water, then let them rest for a while. Do not wait for discomfort or burning, act as quickly as possible.

If you buy a cosmetic with the addition of castor oil, be sure to read the reviews in advance, learn about its action. Is the active substance in cosmetics really a castorca, or is it easier to buy a jar of oil alone? The mere presence of this component in the composition does not indicate the quality or the caring effect.

Night application

If you do not have time to regularly visit beauty salons, and you rarely carry out useful procedures at home, smearing your eyebrows with castor before bedtime is the best application to get a good result after a while. It takes less than a minute, but after several months of daily application you will notice a healing effect.

Before bedtime, most girls wash their makeup, so this should not be new to you. Makeup remover or micellar water, wipe your eyebrows. Take a small brush or regular cotton swab, dip it in the castor oil or drip a few drops on it. First, hold the stick against the growth of hairs, and then - along. Do not overdo it with castor oil: you need quite a bit to get a result, in a couple of minutes it should dry out and absorb, without leaving any unpleasant feelings behind it. You can safely go to bed. In the morning, washing your face, carefully wipe off the remnants of castorca so that they do not spoil the makeup.

Do not perform such a simple procedure too often. With daily use, the maximum period is two weeks, after that it is necessary to take a break at least for a week. You can search for reviews of ordinary girls to see for yourself. The result will not be noticeable immediately, the effect will appear at least in a few weeks, so the oil will not work for a quick way to grow new hair, but in the long run it works perfectly.

So that useful elements are better absorbed, carry out the procedure immediately after a shower - steamed skin becomes soft and soft, more susceptible. The pores expand, substances come faster.

Application for a short time

Although before bedtime you need to apply very little castorca so that it absorbs immediately, many girls worry that such a long effect will be harmful to the skin. In addition, you can easily overdo it with oil, use a little more, stain the bed. The use of the house for a couple of hours will be much more convenient, and after that you can safely wash off the tool.

Clean your eyebrows from cosmetics so that the skin is clean and fresh. After that, let it dry or blot with a napkin. Castor oil for eyebrow growth should be warm and pleasant, therefore, briefly lower the jar in hot water. Apply a thick layer of castor oil. Make sure that it is evenly distributed over the eyebrows, but it does not go beyond the boundaries. The eyelids have very tender skin, such a long exposure can be harmful.

For a couple of hours, it should be well absorbed, you can safely wash the leftovers. Repeat the procedure more often, because the oil does not act instantly, the result will not appear soon. It will take at least a month to grow new hairs on the eyebrows, if this way to apply castorcone several times a week.

If castor oil helps to grow eyebrows, it can be assumed that it will be useful for cilia. Cosmetologists often recommend applying castor oil to power eyelashes and care for them. There are several simple ways to smear it in order to achieve a positive result without damaging the eye mucosa:

  • Soak a wet cotton pad with castor oil, apply to the eyelid for a few minutes. This mask is better not to do too often, so as not to affect the mucous membrane of the eye.
  • Find a brush for eyelashes or carefully wash the brush from the mascara - it will be convenient to use. Often the eyebrow pencil has a brush on the back, you can also use it. Dip the brush in castor oil and apply to the hairs. It is better not to do this from the roots - then a little castorca gets into the eye. Start from the middle of the hair and watch for safety.
  • Dip a cotton swab dipped in castorca over the lower part of the eyelid where the roots of the hairs are located. Then lightly pat the cilia on the stick with oil, so that a little money left on them.

Be careful that castorca does not get in the eyes for a long time. In which case, immediately wash and apply a warm compress.

Homemade recipes

Castor oil can be used by itself, but to act together with other natural components will be much more effective. Cosmetologists recommend combining something with castor oil, so the result will be much softer and faster. To choose the right one for your skin and eyebrows, scroll through the reviews, see the possible reaction.

  • Almond oil - in itself makes hair more elastic. Mixed with castor oil is better in equal proportions, achieving a uniform texture.
  • Olive oil - helps to add softness to the eyebrows and eyelashes. Also helps to darken hairs.
  • Peach oil - prevents loss and protects against the effects of cosmetics.
  • Fish oil is good for bulbs, strengthens and protects them. With this tool you can grow healthy and strong hairs.
  • Aloe juice - enhances the volume, which is most important for cilia. Add quite a bit, just a couple of drops.
  • Chamomile Infusion - relieve tension and relax the skin.
  • Vitamin A - a few drops significantly nourish the hairs, making them stronger. In addition to pure vitamin, you can use juices products containing it in large quantities. For example, a carrot.
  • Vitamin B - will accelerate growth, help grow new hairs at the site of voids. Sunflower oil - a storehouse of vitamin B.
  • Blueberry juice - strengthens the very structure of the hair, absorbs into the skin and hair follicles, so that new cilia will grow strong.
  • Henna - in small quantities, not only heals the skin and hair, but also helps to a little color eyebrows and eyelashes. Just do not overdo it so that the effect is not too bright.
  • Raw egg - restores weak hairs.

Do not be afraid to combine components. With the help of castor oil you can also make short-term fruit or vegetable masks: grind a healthy fruit or vegetable to a smooth mass, for example, potatoes, mix with castor oil and apply on your eyebrows for twenty minutes.

Burr oil

Another substance with which castorca works well together is burdock oil. However, it requires special use, so let's find out about it separately.

Burdock oil itself contains a lot of vitamins: A, B, C, E. Thanks to special microelements, it makes hairs more resistant and allows you to grow new ones in a short time. But it acts quite actively. Therefore, before you use burdock oil, try at least a day not to pull out the eyebrows, so that there are no small wounds.

Together, burdock and castor eyebrow oil act as a good makeup remover. In addition, it nourishes the skin, absorbs quickly and has only a beneficial effect. At the same time, they are not suitable for daily care: too active effects on the face. It is better to make masks or lotions several times a week with a break at least a day.

Castor Oil Benefits

To understand what is particularly useful castor oil for eyelashes and eyebrows, it is necessary to get acquainted with its composition. And from it you can isolate fatty acids. They are in this tool 18, they interact with each other only by two carbon bonds. From a chemical point of view, such a compound makes acids stable, and their “kit” has an extremely beneficial effect on the skin and hairs.

The use of products specifically for eyelashes and hair is as follows:

  • there is irritation of the nerve cells of the skin in places of hair growth, which leads to the activation of regeneration processes,
  • castor oil is able to penetrate directly into the hair follicle and the structure of each hair, and this ensures good nutrition, the flow of important elements,
  • the surface of each eyelash and eyebrow hair becomes perfectly smooth, as castor oil is heavy and firmly glues their scales.

Effect after castor oil

Regular care with castor oil provides enhanced eyelash growth - this effect will be noticeable after 20-30 daysy.

But for eyebrows the most important is the property of the tool to speed up the healing of minor injuries, soften and smooth the skin. Cosmetologists especially recommend castor treatment in eyebrow care for those who constantly corrects them by plucking. In addition, the cosmetics, even if it is of high quality, can harm the health of the skin and hairs of the eyelashes and eyebrows.

How to apply for eyelashes and eyebrows

To carry out caring procedures correctly and get the maximum possible positive effect, it is necessary to follow the rules for the use of castor oil. These include the following recommendations:

  • Before the procedure, it is necessary to carry out cleansing procedures and free the skin and hair from make-up, dirt and dust. You can do this by a simple washing with a cleanser, but the best result is achieved when using alcohol-free lotions and tonics.
  • It is recommended to steam the skin in the right areas. To do this, you must attach to them a towel soaked in hot water, or send a lukewarm shower to eyelashes and eyebrows.
  • Castor oil is applied to the eyelashes and eyebrows with a brush from the mascara, it must be thoroughly washed from the remnants of cosmetics. When handling should be extremely careful, as it is impossible to prevent the ingress of funds into the eyes. Nothing “fatal,” of course, will happen, but there will be a strong burning sensation, and subsequently redness of the eyeball.
  • All procedures with castor oil are carried out in the evening, just before bedtime. Applying oil on the eyelashes, you need to close your eyes tightly for 3 - 5 minutes - this time is enough to absorb the product into the skin and hair.

  • Wash off the oil in the morning during the usual water procedures before applying makeup. It is desirable to avoid the use of soap, it is necessary to give preference to specific gels, cosmetic milk - these products do not dry the skin, do not irritate them.
  • Apply castor oil should be a long course on a daily basis - at least 30 procedures, followed by a break for 10 - 14 days. After 2 - 5 manipulations only silkiness of eyelashes and eyebrows will be felt, but this result will quickly disappear.

Recipes for growth and strengthening

In principle, even pure castor oil can be used to care for eyelashes and eyebrows - it is applied using the recommended method and washed off after 8 - 10 hours. But it will be much more effective to use a combination of the main component with the additional ones - this will enhance the beneficial properties of the oil and provide the most complete nutrition of the hair follicles.

The most effective recipes for home care products for eyelashes and eyebrows include:

  • Combine in equal proportions castor oil and any vegetable oil (even sunflower oil can be used, but it is better to apply olive oil), slightly warm in a water bath. This moment is very important, since such mixtures quickly become hot, so 2 minutes of heating is enough to obtain a suitable temperature. To warm oils add 1 teaspoon of aloe juice.
  • If 10 drops of vitamin A (in ampoules) are added to 10 ml of castor oil, then the finished product will make your eyelashes and eyebrows silky and shiny in just 2 to 3 applications.

It is only necessary to exclude the possibility of the manifestation of an inadequate response of the body to vitamin A. You can replace the drug with carrot juice, which is used at the rate of 20 drops per 10 ml of the main component.

  • From the loss of eyelashes and eyebrows, you can conduct a course of caring procedures with a mixture of castor and almond oils (you can use peach). It is prepared from an equal amount of ingredients, immediately warms up before use. Apply the tool to not the entire length of the hairs of the eyebrows and eyelashes, but only at a distance of 2 to 4 mm from the roots.
  • A remedy of 3 drops of chamomile oil and 5 drops of calendula flower oil extract, which are added to 5 ml of castorca, can be used not only to grow and strengthen eyelashes and eyebrows. The fact is that this multicomponent remedy has a positive effect on the skin around the eyes - moisturizing, nourishing, smoothing of wrinkles is provided.
  • Shostakovsky Balsam, which is identical in composition to the Peruvian balsam, is commercially available. This ingredient in an amount of 3 g is combined with 5 ml of castor oil and 5 g of medical vaseline. This tool accelerates the growth of eyelashes perfectly, it can be applied twice a day (in the morning and in the evening), and since it is quickly absorbed, it is not necessary to wait several hours until full penetration of each component.

Look on the video about the wonderful balm for luxury eyelashes:

All these recipes can be used for the preparation of a therapeutic agent for eyelashes and eyebrows for the future, the only exception is the presence of carrot juice in the composition. Cosmetologists believe that the composition of several oils will be most useful, the best combination will be grape seed, pink, wheat germ, flax seed, almond and castor.

Each ingredient is taken in the amount of 5 ml, the finished mixture can be stored for a month in a cool place, but before each use it must be heated (this can be done in the hands).

But the remedy in question, even in combination with other components, can lead to swelling, redness, itching and irritation of the eyeballs and skin. Here is what you need to do to avoid such unpleasant consequences:

  • apply the product only on the hairs of the eyelashes and eyebrows, trying not to cover their skin,
  • if you have puffiness and reddening of the skin around the eyes in the morning, you need to withstand the remedy only 1 - 2 hours and rinse before bedtime,
  • when castor oil gets into the eyes, they are immediately washed with cool water and any vasoconstrictive ophthalmic preparation is instilled, for example, Albucid (1 drop in the damaged eye).

Reviews with photos before and after

By nature, I am a blonde, so for the last 10 years I have been trying to make my eyelashes and eyebrows darker. At first I used a pencil, but I didn’t like the fact that every day I had to “draw” the face again. A friend advised me to buy castor oil with the words that at one time it helped her to make her eyebrows and eyelashes thicker and also darker. For the year I made 4 courses on applying castor oil on eyebrows and eyelashes, made masks based on it. After a month of using the product, I noticed that the hairs on the eyebrows and eyelashes became darker. Now I use castor-based masks only to maintain the effect.

After pregnancy, eyelashes began to fall out, for some time it was without them. I learned about the effectiveness of castorca. I admit, I decided to use it in despair, because before that I had tried expensive whey and oil, nothing helped. I used a mask based on castor oil and olive oil, after 2 weeks I noticed how new hairs began to appear. After a few months of use, the hairs on the eyelashes became as they were before birth. I'm happy.

For as long as I can remember, my brows were never thick. At school, I drew them in black pencil. After university, she began using castor oil to make them thicker. At first I used pure oil, after several procedures I began to make cosmetics based on it. The first result was received six months later, the brows became thick, stopped falling out.

Victoria, 36 years old

I used castor oil with egg white when my eyelashes and eyebrows began to fall out. After several courses I noticed how the hairs became stronger and darker. Now, if there are problems with eyelashes and eyebrows, I use only castor oil.

During the exams very nervous. As a result - loss of eyelashes and eyebrows. At first, she used expensive cosmetics for treatment, but she gave only temporary results. The hairs got out a little, but were still short and light. I decided to try castor oil, especially a friend recommended it as the most effective remedy for thickening and growth of eyebrows and eyelashes. Applied oil throughout the year, has achieved amazing results. Now my eyelashes are the longest, and my eyebrows are so thick that I do not need to paint them with a pencil.

What to remember

  1. The composition of castor oil is tocopherol, which strengthens the hairs, makes eyelashes and eyebrows thicker.
  2. Castor oil has no contraindications, except for individual intolerance of the components included in the composition of the product.
  3. To obtain the result, regular use of castorca is necessary.

Application rules

In order to have an effect from the use of any means, they need to be used correctly, and castor oil in this regard is no exception.

Instructions for use are very simple:

  • Use castor oil only after removing makeup (oil will not have the desired effect on colored eyelashes and eyebrows).
  • Remove excess with warm water immediately after application.
  • Since the oil is thick, it is recommended to warm it up before applying.
  • Apply the product so that it falls on the skin at the location of the hair follicles, otherwise they will not work better and you can only strengthen the existing hairs, but the new ones will not grow actively.

  • Castor oil should be applied daily, 1-2 hours before bedtime, and excess oil just before bedtime should be removed so as not to soil the bed.
  • When applying the oil, it is important to ensure that it does not get into the eye (although castor oil was previously used to treat the eyes, this tool in some cases may irritate the mucous membranes of the eye).
  • Like any other treatment, the use of castor oil requires a full course in order to see the result (the full course in this case is 2 months).
  • Since ricinoleic acid is capable of causing allergic reactions, before applying castorca in the eye area, a test should be performed on another, less sensitive and noticeable skin area.

How to apply castorca to strengthen eyelashes?

Since the eyelashes in women constantly suffer from various harmful factors (they are constantly tinted, twisted, often forgotten to take care of them in time, or even do not remove makeup), to strengthen and improve eyelashes, you can use castor oil.

  • cosmetic milk eyelashes are cleaned from mascara,
  • a special brush for combing eyelashes is wetted in castor oil (brush should be pressed against the edges of the jar with oil to remove excess product),
  • cleaned eyelashes brush with a brush from the roots to the tips.

Strengthening the eyelashes primarily depends on how well the oil is absorbed into the bulbs, so it can be left overnight on the eyelashes. Since castor oil is practically insoluble in water, it is not necessary to “fill” eyelashes with oil, otherwise it will be difficult to remove it in the morning before applying makeup. Removes the tool with warm water in the washing process.

Castor can be applied:

  1. By itself.
  2. In the form of a therapeutic mixture, which more actively affects the growth of eyelashes.

For a mixture, castor oil can be taken in equal proportions and:

  • aloe juice + burdock oil (you can also add vitamin E in the form of an oil solution),
  • peach or almond oil,
  • chamomile or calendula oil extract.

There are also ready-made tools for eyelashes, which contain a different amount:

  1. Castor and grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, essential oil of myrrh, jasmine and ylang-ylang (Mirra Lux). This balm is also applied to the eyelids, thus preventing their dryness.
  2. Castor, grape, pink and almond oil, burdock root and wheat germ oil (oil Vereya).

How and how many times a week to apply these and other ready-made products should be specified by the manufacturer.

Tips to help you apply castor oil to your eyelashes and brows:

Eyebrow and eyelash masks

Basically, the oil is used as a separate product, you can add various ingredients to it. For most masks, the conditions of the procedure are identical. At the initial stage of the procedure, it is necessary to warm the castor oil (castor oil) in a water bath and let it cool slightly. Apply to eyebrows or eyelashes. Leave for 15 minutes, remove leftovers and can safely go to bed. In the morning wash with warm water.

Many are wondering if castor eyebrow oil helps. To verify its effectiveness, try the following masks.

Important! It is not recommended to use masks with ricin oil content, owners of light eyebrows, as they may darken from the procedures.

How does castor oil help accelerate eyebrow growth?

It is widely believed that a good diet can help you grow hair quickly. But in this busy life, it is difficult for people to stick to a certain plan, so many turn to natural oils, such as castor oil, which is one of the best serums for hair growth.

When using castor oil for the growth of eyebrows and eyelashes, you can try to combine with other methods, such as stimulating the hair follicles on this part of the face. You also need to revise your diet:

  1. Eat foods that can cause natural hair growth. Make sure they contain proteins, vitamins and fatty acids. It is also recommended to use avocadoand salmon fishes.
  2. The use of hair-improving serums are products that stimulate hair growth. If you can get some products with castor oil as an active ingredient, this will be your best bet. In addition to castor oil, you can add almond oil or jojoba oil, which are ideal for conditioning and hair growth.

How does castor oil for hair growth work

Some things, including improper care, makeup, under different conditions of life, can contribute to hair loss from the eyebrows. One of the main questions that we ask how much time it takes and how to make them grow.

The eyebrow hair growth cycle is completely different and much shorter than the hair growth cycle on the head. It usually takes about 5-6 months for the hair on the head, but in the case of eyebrows it is only 2-3 months. However, the period of growth may vary depending on the health and age group of each person.

The effects of castor oil depend mainly on many factors. Everyone expects fast positive results, but it may take some time before they become visible. As a rule, after a month of using castor oil, you can see a higher density and fullness of hair.

As with many other natural beauty treatments, you will need patience and perseverance. In some women, the oil may act faster, and in other cases slower. In the majority, it all depends on the genetics of the person. What is castor oil?

Castor oil (ricinus oil, castor oil, rapeseed oil) It was known in ancient times, it was widely used in Chinese and Indian medicine. It is obtained from an exotic plant called Ricinus communis (castor bean), which in natural conditions can be measured up to ten meters, but in our climate it is only an ornamental plant.

Castor oil, for medicinal purposes, can be used for ingestion, but more often it is used to restore hair, skin, nails. The high content of fatty acids, more than 90%, makes it an ideal nutrient. The oil has a very high penetrating power, which affects deeply the skin and promotes hair growth.

Types of castor oil

There are two types of castor oil:

  1. Peeled or cold pressed castor oil. This oil, to which we are accustomed, can often be found on sale.
  2. Jamaican black ricin oil - This is a dark-colored oil, produced by first roasting the beans. It gets its color from the ashes of the roasted beans of a plant. This ash creates impurities inside the oil, thus creating a mixture of ash and oil. Like traditional castor oil, Jamaican is rich in phytochemicals and fatty acids, which makes it more effective in treating problems such as hair loss.

The only difference between these oils is processing and color. In all other respects, they still have similar properties. If you prefer purity, you can choose organic and colorless castor oil. In general, it depends on your personal preferences.

When you are planning to buy castor oil, make sure that you have purchased 100% oil, as these are the primary symbols of a pure and natural product. Information can be found on the label present on the bottle.

Benefit. Indications and contraindications

Castor (or ricin) oil is produced by hot or cold pressing of castor bean seeds. The first method allows you to save more vitamins and minerals, so if you can, preference should be given to him.

Castor has several features, because of which it stands apart from other substances. Its second name was due to the main component - ricin (ricinoleic acid). To meet him in other similar substances is almost impossible, but in the castor of his as much as 90%. In addition, it includes oleic, palm and linoleic acid. The second feature is that, in addition to minor amounts of vitamin E and various fatty acid derivatives, there are no other components. And the third feature is the external characteristics: the product has a slightly unpleasant smell, it is dense, viscous, with a not very pleasant texture.

However, despite the absence of many familiar components, it is possible both to strengthen eyelashes with castor oil, and to give them a well-groomed look. Castor also helps to make the color of eyelashes and eyebrows darker. This can be achieved only with the help of acids.

Store in a cool dark place, preferably in the refrigerator.

Application features

Despite its usefulness, this tool is very cunning and must be used very carefully. The main component is ricin. This is a very toxic substance (although during processing castor loses most of its toxicity), therefore it often causes allergies. And even those who are not susceptible to such reactions, an excessive and prolonged stay of castor on hair and skin can cause negative consequences. Therefore, the application must be very careful.

Here are a few rules on how to properly use castor oil for eyebrows and eyelashes.

  • Take a test for an allergic reaction. To do this, you can put a little money on your hand and wait 30 minutes. If itching or redness does not appear, you can already apply oil on the eyes and eyebrows.
  • The main thing you need to know is how to smear your eyelashes with castor oil. Eyebrow castor oil is applied in the same way.
  • Apply the tool only to clean eyebrows and eyelashes for several hours before bedtime. In this case, you should only smear the tips of the eyelashes, trying to avoid contact with the eyes.
  • Leave castor oil for eyelashes or eyebrows should be no more than an hour and a half, maximum two.
  • It is better not to use eyelash oil in its pure form, and dilute it with other means.
  • Removing castor oil from eyelashes or eyebrows is even harder than other products, since castor oil is almost insoluble in water and does not interact with cosmetic cleansers. The best way to blot out with a napkin.
  • Only regular use will help achieve maximum effect.
  • It is not recommended to use oil at night, otherwise severe edema may occur.
  • Smearing eyelashes with oil is better with a cotton swab, so there is less chance that it will fall on the mucous membrane.

Castor oil for the growth of eyelashes can be used in its pure form, but it is better to enrich it with other components.

Eyebrow oil must be applied exclusively in the course of hair growth, as it can cause abundant hair growth.

Apply this balm can be every evening for 2-3 hours. The mixture must be stored in the refrigerator. You can use the mixture in the morning, but with the condition that you will not use cosmetics after.

Castor application to improve brow growth

In order to grow eyebrows with castor oil, you should:

  1. Pre-clean eyebrows from makeup residues with a special tool, wash your face with warm water and be sure to dab your eyebrows with a dry towel.
  2. Apply a thin layer on the eyebrows with a soft brush, while at the same time slightly massaging the eyebrow to stimulate the zone of influence. In the absence of a suitable brush, you can use cotton buds, but this method will be less effective.
  3. A brush dipped in castor oil should be brushed first with the brush against hair growth, and then in the other direction.
  4. Not absorbed in 1.5 hours, remove the tool with a napkin.

How much to keep castor oil on the eyebrows depends on the composition of the product - it can be used in pure form or as a mixture. Pure castors can be left overnight, and more active and aggressive mixtures can be washed off with warm water an hour after application.

More active than pure castor oil, it acts on the eyebrows of its mixture with:

  • olive, peach and almond oils,
  • linseed and sea buckthorn oils,
  • vitamin cocktail (for 1 table spoon of oil, 5 drops of oil solution of vitamins A and E),
  • carrot juice, which contains vitamin A in large quantities,
  • a teaspoon of egg yolk and honey (the proportions should be equal, the mixture is applied for 2-3 hours as a mask),
  • tincture of calendula in equal proportions.

It is useful when making hairs to make an alcoholic mask, for which vodka and castorc are mixed in a ratio of 2: 1, and then this mixture is rubbed into the eyebrows. Since alcohol has an irritating effect on delicate skin, the mask must be applied correctly - it is applied at the same time as other masks, but with an interval of 2-3 days, and not every day.

Who is contraindicated castorca

Since castor oil is produced from poisonous seeds, and the main component of the oil can cause allergies, it is not recommended to use it:

  • Pregnant
  • Nursing
  • Women with allergies.

There are some minor flaws in castorca:

  • it is difficult to remove because it is sticky and thick,
  • she smells bad
  • when applied to the eyelashes before bedtime or at night, it can cause eyelid swelling (in this case, it should be applied 2-3 hours before bedtime and removed before bedtime).

Castor oil for eyelashes and eyebrows has much more advantages than disadvantages; this economical and inexpensive means allows you to effectively restore eyebrows and eyelashes within 1-2 months.
